Thailand has been one of the well-known centers for the production and distribution of hormonal and steroid medicines in Southeast Asia for several decades.
Initially, a large part of the production was pharmaceutical and operated under the supervision of officially recognized companies. These products were manufactured for medical purposes, such as treating hormone deficiencies and certain specific medical conditions.
From the 1980s and 1990s onward, as the use of bodybuilding steroids increased across Asia, the market for anabolic products in Thailand also expanded.
Alongside legal pharmaceutical manufacturers, underground manufacturers and bodybuilding brands gradually emerged.
One of the names frequently seen in the international Thai steroid market is Muscle Pharm. This name has a different history and background from officially registered pharmaceutical companies.
There are several different categories in the Thai market:
- Medicines manufactured by licensed pharmaceutical companies → These may be genuine and traceable products.
- Bodybuilding products sold under well-known brand names → Their authenticity should be verified separately.
- Underground products (UGLs) → Even if they are genuinely manufactured in Thailand, they are not necessarily officially manufactured pharmaceutical products and may not be subject to pharmaceutical-grade quality control.
The words “Made in Thailand” or a professional-looking package alone do not prove authenticity.

ประเทศไทยเป็นหนึ่งในศูนย์กลางที่เป็นที่รู้จักในการผลิตและจัดจำหน่ายยาฮอร์โมนและยาสเตียรอยด์ในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้มานานหลายทศวรรษ
ในระยะแรก การผลิตส่วนใหญ่เป็นการผลิตทางเภสัชกรรมและอยู่ภายใต้การกำกับดูแลของบริษัทที่ได้รับการรับรองอย่างเป็นทางการ ผลิตภัณฑ์เหล่านี้ผลิตขึ้นเพื่อวัตถุประสงค์ทางการแพทย์ เช่น การรักษาภาวะฮอร์โมนบกพร่องและโรคบางชนิด

นอกจากผู้ผลิตยาที่ถูกกฎหมายแล้ว ต่อมาก็มีผู้ผลิตใต้ดินและแบรนด์ผลิตภัณฑ์สำหรับการเพาะกายเกิดขึ้นด้วย
หนึ่งในชื่อที่พบเห็นบ่อยในตลาดสเตียรอยด์ของไทยในระดับนานาชาติคือ Muscle Pharm อย่างไรก็ตาม ชื่อนี้มีประวัติและที่มาแตกต่างจากบริษัทผู้ผลิตยาที่ได้รับการขึ้นทะเบียนอย่างเป็นทางการ
ในตลาดประเทศไทยมีผลิตภัณฑ์อยู่หลายประเภท ได้แก่:
- ยาที่ผลิตโดยบริษัทเภสัชกรรมที่ได้รับใบอนุญาต → อาจเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ของแท้และสามารถตรวจสอบย้อนกลับได้
- ผลิตภัณฑ์สำหรับการเพาะกายที่ใช้ชื่อแบรนด์ที่มีชื่อเสียง → ต้องตรวจสอบความแท้ของผลิตภัณฑ์เป็นกรณี ๆ ไป
- ผลิตภัณฑ์จากผู้ผลิตใต้ดิน (UGL) → แม้ว่าจะผลิตในประเทศไทยจริง แต่ก็ไม่ได้หมายความว่าจะเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ยาที่ผลิตอย่างเป็นทางการ และอาจไม่ได้ผ่านการควบคุมคุณภาพตามมาตรฐานเภสัชกรรม
คำว่า “Made in Thailand” หรือบรรจุภัณฑ์ที่ดูเป็นมืออาชีพเพียงอย่างเดียว ไม่สามารถใช้ยืนยันความแท้ของผลิตภัณฑ์ได้
